Kathmanquake
Former capital of the hippie movement in the 60s and 70s, backpackers retreat and thrill seekers mountaineers searching for the lost adrenaline, Kathmandu is a city where it seems cluttered million people have moved all of a sudden.
It is a city where the mysticism of its temples and stupas is mixed with all the noise produced by the horns that invade every corner of the chaotic capital of Nepal.
The land of snowy peaks, sherpas and yetis, monasteries and mantras, seems to have a jinx on it. Cursed by a good dose of bad luck, I experienced the earthquake of 7.8 degrees on Richter scale that struck on April, 25th 2015.
With this project I just want to exhibit what happened from my point of view and make a little trip back in time showing the terrible consequences of natural disasters.
